May I ask dattaswami and popsthebuilder if they have viewed it and given it the consideration, which is its due if they are to take a balanced position on this debate?
I agree with the op and wasn't even aware of an active debate. Have not watched the video and will not be. My statements have nothing to do with any video.

peace

I believe there are things that cannot be answered. I do not believe God is as harsh as the bible sometimes portrays. I have seen the forgiveness of God in my own life. He is more kind and understanding. He truly understands life through his son jesus.

When it comes to this topic I believe there is no right answer, I also referenced to OPTIMAL UNITY's post. The God state and antiverse are things I am unfamiliar with and I am not sure about.

Ultimately it comes down to religion and its interpretation. I have come to notice more and more people seem to look down upon religion and blame it for societies problems. The reason for the societies problems is not because of religion. IT is because individuals use the power and influence of religion for themselves. It is greed and the individuals who use religion because of its influence and power on people.

There is good in religion, It is a path of spirituality for many people who search for deeper understanding. Religion brings people together and saves lives. It gives a purpose to life for many people. IT is a spiritual path, the search for understanding in a persons current life.

I hope this adds to the debate, an understanding of religion and humanity is necessary to approach this questions. The use of fear is used for control. As those of us who are spiritual know, Control is never the answer. Understanding is the truth and sees through illusion of fear. I believe humanity has shaped religion and things (like the bible) to reflect their beliefs. When in reality the truth come through understanding of God himself and the understanding of our own people.
The bible most definitely is not the only means to know of the will of GOD.

I have written five pages in response to dattaswami's post.
Then I read Gerhard Botha's reply.
Then I read Uzumaki Jesse's reply.
Then I scrapped my five pages.
Thank you both.

Creator will NEVER destroy Creation for something we do.
Creator knows we are still children in school,
Who sometimes try to tear our play ground up.

Nature of Lord is Nature of Teacher

Lord is essentially a teacher. His very nature is the nature of a teacher. If you study the nature of teacher, you have understood the very nature of Datta. The aim of mother, father and teacher is only the welfare of the child. But, mother and father may become lenient due to their blind intensive love on the child. But, the love of a teacher (Guru) is never blind and is always aimed at the welfare of student. The love of father and mother may sometimes spoil the welfare of the child. Therefore, Datta treats all the living beings in the creation as His students and not as His issues. Therefore, the teacher is more than father and mother.

The Lord created fruits for both good and bad actions. Why should He create a fruit for an action? Let there be acts without fruits. The child does mischief, but the mother or father does not punish. In that case, there is no fruit for that action. Similarly, let the Lord not punish our sins. If you expect like this, the answer is that the Lord does not behave like father or mother but behaves only as a teacher. The child gets spoiled if the mischief is tolerated. We are seeing this in the world. The teacher will never tolerate the spoiling of the child and therefore, He will not tolerate the mischief.

God uses the fruits of your sins as punishments and the only aim is your welfare. This is the reason why Datta is always called as Guru Datta. Therefore, guru or teacher is greatest. The results of bad deeds are used as punishments to transform and uplift the student. Therefore, the result of a bad deed is very very useful for the transformation of the soul. The results of your good deeds are given to you just as a relaxation between two punishments. When He punishes systematically, He is called as Yama. In the interval when you receive happiness, He is Indra. Sometimes He gives severe punishments with roaring sound. He is called as Kala Bhairava at that time. The hell is the special equipment for punishment. The aim of the punishment is only the real welfare.

I respect your right to your own beliefs which are different from mine.
My belief is simple.
Creator loves all unconditionally regardless of race or religion.

If any being would dislike how we are acting, IMHO it is Mother Earth, who is trying to warn us not to harm her with our enormous population encroaching on her beautiful forests, mountain ranges, and most of nature. So far we have had drought followed by fires, tital waves, volcanic rumbling and earthquakes. More numerous than I remember in my 66+ years. Also diseases.
If anyone is displeased with us it's Mother Earth who has the ability to do more harm to us then we do to ourselves.

If we treat Mother Earth with respect and love, we will indeed see a change in natural disasters as She calms down accepting our moves to help
Her instead of putting self first. Living in harmony with Mother Earth as well as making an effort to love and understand each other, will indeed make all our lives better.

I, too respect your right , not only to hold those beliefs, but also to declare them to others who would listen.
However, when I read your posts, dattaswami, in my head, I hear echoes of the Judaic/Christian Old Testament, and, for reasons I have written about elsewhere on the forum, I rejected that many many moons ago.

So, I ask you to accept that we differ, and accept my love also.

Logical analysis is the only way to identify the truth.

Authority in Spiritual Concepts ...

Whenever you make any decision, you have to follow three authorities: 1) Shruti i.e., Veda, Bible, Gita; 2) Yukti i.e., logic; 3) Anubhava i.e., experience.

Ex:1) To learn philosophy, the world gives the real picture. Books may contain faulty knowledge, but the world contains only the truth. To know whether the concept in the book is right or not you must refer to the world. Any concept in the scripture should be discussed with logic and finally approved only through its experience in the world. So the purest love can be seen in the world. Suppose somebody loves and serves you without aspiring anything in return and his love is pure by all your tests, you imagine how much you are pleased! You will do anything for him. It applies to God also. If you serve Him without aspiring anything in return from Him and if your pure love passes all His severe tests, He will do anything for your sake. Love is proved only through service. Mere words and feelings are of no use. Service can be associated with words and feelings, like a plate of rice is associated with curry and pickles.

2) An employee does service for the whole month and he does not have to put in a formal request to the government to give his monthly salary. The salary is put into his account automatically. He does not beg for his salary by singing songs and weeping. Similarly, Hanuman participated in the service of Lord Rama in human form and got the fruit of His service, which was the post of the future creator of the Universe. He did not sing bhajans, chant hymns, meditate or shed tears etc., for the fruit. Therefore what is the use of these things without the service? An elephant is fed with sugar cane in a dignified way. The elephant does a lot of work in carrying big logs etc.

A dog does not do any service and it begs for food by wagging its tail, by crying, by falling at the feet of people but it is not given food or at the most it is given leftovers. Therefore the knowledge and devotion should lead to service, which are like the degrees acquired by you. Merely for your degree, no salary will be given. With the help of the degree you have to get a job and do service for which alone you can get the salary. The degrees will only help you to get a job but they cannot give you the salary directly. With the help of knowledge you can recognize the human incarnation. With the help of devotion you will come near Him and become dear to Him so that you can participate in His service. You get the fruit for your service and not for your knowledge and devotion.

Conclusion: It is always great to give God that which you cannot give to anybody. What is the greatness in giving that which you can give to anyone? People easily give words and mind and there is no greatness in sacrificing such things. It is very difficult to sacrifice the fruit of work (money). Therefore the greatness lies in sacrificing work or the fruit of work. The Gita emphasized on Karma Phala Tyaga in view of the nearing Kali Yuga. Soon after the Mahabharata war, Kali entered. Since the Lord knows that in the Kali age, money, which is the fruit of the work, is going to be the topmost item, He emphasized the sacrifice of money (Karma Phala Tyaga) everywhere in the Gita.

Strange, my logical analysis does not seem to work like yours. Have we both been brain-washed so that there is so much difference in our conclusions? Is this caused by some controlling influence originating from another dimension in order to cause tension between us, thus maintaining the status quo? Or are we in some way subjected to different vibratory environments?
